Terms of Use
Version 2026-08 — effective 10 August 2026
These terms of use (the "Terms") govern access to and use of the Convention Online platform (the "Platform"), which connects professional event organisers with service providers.
By creating an account, submitting a provider application or using the Platform, you accept these Terms in full.
1. Definitions
- Platform: the Convention Online website and all of its services.
- User: any person holding an account on the Platform.
- Organiser: a user who lists or administers an event.
- Provider: a company whose application has been approved and which offers services.
- Activity: a provider's field of operation, chosen from the catalogue of provider types published on the platform. A provider may carry out several activities.
- Service listing: an offer published by a provider under one of its activities.
2. Access to the Platform
Browsing events is open to all. An account is required to submit a provider application, publish service listings or administer an event.
Authentication is handled by Convention Auth. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity carried out from your account.
3. Provider application
3.1 Submission
An application is submitted by a company, represented by a person authorised to bind it. It covers the company's identity, contact details, service area, commercial terms and the activity or activities it wishes to carry out.
One user account corresponds to one company. A company operating in several fields declares several activities within a single record, not several accounts.
3.2 Approval
Every application is reviewed. Convention Online may approve it, reject it or request further information, without being required to give reasons.
Each activity is approved individually. Approval of the company does not automatically approve an activity added later: that activity remains pending, and its service listings cannot be published until it has been approved.
A rejected application may be resubmitted once corrected.
3.3 Accuracy of information
The provider warrants the accuracy of the information it declares, in particular its company registration number, VAT number, capacity and professional liability insurance. It undertakes to keep this information up to date.
Any manifestly false information may result in immediate suspension of the record.
4. Published listings
The provider is solely responsible for the content it publishes: titles, descriptions, prices, capacities and characteristics.
Displayed prices must be accurate, expressed in the declared currency, and state whether they are exclusive or inclusive of tax.
Publishing content that is unlawful, misleading, defamatory, infringing, or that violates third-party rights is prohibited.
5. Convention Online's role
Convention Online is a technical intermediary providing introductions. The Platform is neither a party to nor a guarantor of any contract concluded between organisers and providers.
Convention Online does not guarantee that contracts will be concluded, nor any volume of enquiries, nor the solvency or competence of the parties introduced.
The check carried out when approving an application is a consistency check of declared information. It is not an audit, a certification, or a recommendation.
6. Relations between organisers and providers
Commercial terms, contracting, performance of the service, invoicing and dispute resolution are matters solely for the parties concerned.
Each party remains responsible for meeting its own legal, tax and social security obligations.
7. Personal data
Data collected is processed in accordance with the Platform's privacy policy. An approved provider's business contact details are made visible to organisers, which is the very purpose of the service.
Under Regulation (EU) 2016/679, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability in respect of your data.
8. Intellectual property
The Platform, its structure, its trade marks and its editorial content are protected. Any unauthorised reproduction is prohibited.
The provider retains ownership of the content it publishes and grants Convention Online a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to reproduce and display that content, solely for the purpose of displaying it on the Platform and promoting the Platform, for the duration of publication.
Automated extraction of Platform content is prohibited without prior written authorisation.
9. Suspension and termination
Convention Online may suspend or delete an account, an activity or a service listing in the event of a breach of these Terms, inaccurate information, or a credible report.
Users may request deletion of their account at any time. Data required to meet legal obligations is retained for the period required.
10. Liability
Convention Online endeavours to keep the Platform available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, in particular during maintenance.
Convention Online shall not be liable for indirect damage, nor for the consequences of inaccurate information published by a user.
11. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be amended. The version accepted by each provider is recorded together with the date of acceptance.
Where a change is substantial, renewed acceptance is required in order to continue using the services concerned.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable settlement, any dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the French courts, subject to mandatory rules applicable to consumers.
13. Contact
For any question regarding these Terms, please use the Platform's contact form.
