Event History
Founded in 1962 in Essen, CARAVAN SALON DÜSSELDORF quickly became Europe's largest caravanning event. It moved to Düsseldorf in 1994 due to increasing demand for exhibition space. The fair has consistently grown, adapting its layout and services to meet the needs of the caravanning community. Despite challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic, interest has remained high, with attendance consistently over 200,000 visitors in recent years and a record number of exhibitors. The event has evolved from a pure sales exhibition to an immersive experience fair, reflecting the growing societal significance of mobile holidays.
